Dean Winchester eye of the tiger. HD (by Thefreerunner4evers)
This week.
Has been so hectic. Teenager drama. Daughter’s boyfriend drama. Work Drama,
Ugh. I’m ready for a frickin nap.
Live from Dubai, I got straight A’s for the semester. Yup, that’s right straight A’s. Imma so proud.
Love
Yes, all of you. You help bring me up when I’m down. You help me stay riding that cloud.
Storms and Sleep Deprivation
So, I have been up since 7-ish am Friday. Going on 40 hrs up straight. My body is revolting and has taken to mild tremors.
Sometimes I hate my job. Thanks to the thunderstorms for being out all night and all day today.
The Y
So went to the Y with Daughter and her boyfriend. That was fun.
I introduced them both to the art of pullups, free-weight squats, bench press, and that machine that should not be mentioned.
Highlight of the workout: Guidos were practicing their bicep posing routines in the squat rack. I step into the rack and have my daughter come over. Guidos then decide to check out their biceps elsewhere. Then I start instructing my daughter on proper squat form. They watch from a distance and then leave the gym. I was SO SO SO proud of her getting in there and trying to squats. The guidos we ran off was just the icing on the cake.
Free advice for everyone: The squat rack is for squats not bicep pose routines or curling.
Crossfit?
OK really if I could afford it I would be there with bells on. But I can’t afford it. From what I can tell the Crossfit boxes around here are around 125 a month. Geez. Between kids and everything I simply can’t justify nor work this amount into my tight budget.
Do they offer scholarships?
I know it would have the value for me. I enjoy hanging out and workout would be a huge bonus. Besides that it would fuel my competitiveness.
Week 2 Day 2
…is in the books.
Did a little under two miles. Good thing I am not worried about speed or anything this go around. I am trying so hard not to get into competitive mode. I want to enjoy running for all that it is worth.
In other news, nutritionally today wasn’t too bad. I did eat bread though. Not very paleo and I paid for it with a headache (that went away while I was running).
It’s going. And with every step I get a little healthier. (Saw this somewhere on tumblr; I like it.)

W2D1
So, I learned a valuable lesson today. Take a potty break BEFORE you go running in the streets of your neighborhood. You may find yourself not very near a bathroom for a little bit.
In other news, this one felt a lot easier and there is a reason. I took it easier because the little hills in my neighborhood feel like mountains when you are only 1 week into getting back to shape.
I had a good run though. It was enjoyable and I didn’t feel like I was going to die. So, that was real good.

meh. I look better. (at least to me I do)
running and music
did I mention I am running without music this go around? It’s amazing the conversations I have with myself.
